Being an autodidact, Noby Lehmann gathered his first experiences in music playing in various rock and jazz rock bands. Very soon did he realize that he wanted to make a career out of his hobby. The following time in his life was dominated by intensive studies: After finishing his studies at the Bern-based Swiss Jazz School at the age of 20, he moved on to the Dante Agostini Drum School in Paris from which he successfully graduated later on.
Noby has been awarded numerous prizes: Several times he has won first prize at the Swiss Drums and Percussion Contest, he was awarded the Prix Supérieur de Paris, he was honored as the best drummer within the framework of the Yamaha Band Explosion Contest inStuttgart / Germany, and he received the Cultural Award for Music granted by the Culture Promotion Committee of the Canton of Solothurn / Switzerland.
He is the director of the Dante Agostini School Switzerland.
As a performing artist, he still electrifies his audience as a musician in various jazz, rock and fusion bands; he also participates in dance performance shows.
