Nigel Preston drummed in The Cult. He joined the band just after they had released two singles under the name of Death Cult, featuring drummer Ray "The Reverend" Mondo.
Previously Nigel Preston had played in Sex Gang Children and Theatre of Hate.
As Preston left Sex Gang Children to join The Cult, leaving drummer Ray Mondo ended up in Preston's previous band.
In 1985 or 1986 Big Country's Mark Brzezicki replaced Preston, then drummer Les Warner (ex-Randy California, Julian Lennon etc) joined The Cult permanently.
