Nicky Bernardi joined Eyes of Fire, the experimental Orange County, California-based metal band in August 2004. Bernardi replaced John Haddad, who had left after three and a half years' service.



As for John's replacement, the band commented:

"Nicky [Bernardi] seems to be the missing link Eyes of Fire have been searching for. He brings a whole new element to the band. His tribal power and percussive skills far supersede what we were looking for in a drummer. He also uses samplers/sequencers and all kinds of different percussion, ranging from African tribal to the most primal hardcore beats. The potential on our next record should be limitless."
