Originally from Buffalo NY, Nick Mason followed a deep passion for studying percussion. After 12 years of dedication and practice under the tutelage of John Fatta, he began to give private lessons of his own to students of all ages and skill levels. Following stints with successful bands such as Mad Yellow Sun and the Voodoo Dollies, Nick became an in-demand session player around the Western New Y...ork area in music styles ranging from Light Jazz to Heavy Metal, and entitled him to receive three separate Western New York People's Choice Awards.
Through his persistence he has been able to keep and maintain professional endorsements with the following: Yamaha acoustic & electronic drums, Aquarian Drumheads, Ahead Drumsticks, Factory Metal Percussion, Coffin Case, and MacEachern Drums. This has propelled his career to record over 30 albums, singles, EP's, and soundtracks including videos for "Kissing, Dancing, Singing", "Walking with Ghosts", "Black Magic Marker", "Suffercake", and "Jack the Ripper".
In 2006 Nick ventured into television as Co-host of Official Heat, a music news and entertainment program. He now lives in Los Angeles, CA where he continues to be a driving force behind the drum kit, frequently touring North America, orchestrating drum clinics, and thriving as an independent musician and teacher.
