Mitch Dorge is a drummer, composer and producer. He has been with Crash Test Dummies for over a decade and has been credited as co-poducer for both God Shuffled His Feet and A Worms Life, GSHF reaching sales of almost 8 million world wide.
Since 1999 Mitch Dorge has worked with Tuesday's Girl and Charlie Redstar as producer/engineer and drummer. Mitch took home the Prairie Music Award for Outstanding Instrumental Recording for his solo record, As Trees Walking. Downsampling Perception, a documentary based around Mitch's motivational/educational program "In Your Face and Interactive" has shown in film festivals world wide and has been nominated and awarded for best documentary. His sound track work for Cemetery Love Story and Mutual Cadence has reached audiences around the world.
Mitch Dorge is also a touring clinician for: Sabian Cymbals, Evans drum heads, AKG microphones, Vic Firth Sticks, Pearl Drums. Mitch has been a contributing writer for Canadian Musician Magazine and for Five Star Productions (Saskatchewan).
Mitch Dorge has been the Key Note speaker for: Prairie Music Week 2002, Rotary Career Symposium 2003, French For The Future 2001/2003, TADD (Teens Against Drunk Driving) and DARE (Drug Abuse Resistance Education). As well, his work and philosophy is a driving force behind the Staying Alive web site, (www.stayingalive.ca).
