Mike Paradine plays drums in New Jersey power metallers Arcticflame. 2006 saw Paradine releasing his first book, titled "King of Toys". Told in poetic form, it tells the story of a young boy who is abused by his scum parents. His toys, along with a resurrected family pet, then come to life and take revenge on them.
