Mike Gaspar (or 'Miguel' als his bandmates like to call him) plays drums in Portugese metallers Moonspell. Previously he used the artistname Nisroch.

Gaspar was born on March 8, 1976 in Massachusetts, USA.



Initial drummer Fernando Ribeiro decided to change position to vocals, leaving a vacant spot behind the drum kit. Ironically he recalls how Gaspar joined the band:

"We had to part ways with our old drummer who played in Morbid God [referring to himself] for a lot of reasons. So we went for auditioning some people. It was silly because we couldn´t play ourselves, left alone judge other people. We had Filii´s drummer in jamming with us but we went to Decayed´s rehearsal place to check out this born American drummer, 16 years old, I guess then, who used to play for Decayed when they were known as Decay. (...) I adored him because he played Countess Bathory by Venom with Decayed. This confused looking guy, ill like a bastard with the flu, was Mike. He joined in, we instantly got along so well."

Gaspar has been one of the driving forces behind Moonspell ever since, dedicated to the core, always willing to take work with their bare hands.
