Mike Justian played drums in Unearth until May 2007. He first started playing at age five. Justian boasts prior membership of outfits such as Bludgeon, Life Passed On Redline, Germans, Forcedown, Buried Thieves, Poor & Neglected, No Turning Back, Where's the Head, Fall of Leningrad, Candy Striper Death Orgy amongst many others.



Justian names John Bonham, Keith Moon, Bill Ward, Dave Lombardo, Igor Cavalera and Raymond Herera as main influences.



Justian was also the original drummer in The Red Chord, until he decided to focus on Unearth and departed early 2004. He was (temporarily) followed up by Jon Dow. Justain replaced Unearth's initial drummer Mike Rudberg before the band signed to Metal Blade in 2003.
