Michael Paradinas, who works primarily under the name µ-ziq (pronounced like the word music), is a British musician in the field of electronic music.



Paradinas began operating under the name µ-ziq in 1992 whilst studying for a degree in architecture at Kingston. However, Paradinas decided his true vocation was to produce far-reaching electronic music, with his early recordings first emerging on the Rephlex record label.



Besides working as beat creator and producer, Paradinas also runs record label Planet Mu.



Mike Paradinas has also released a large amount of material under various aliases, including the names of Tusken Raiders, Kid Spatula, Slag Boom Van Loon, Gary Moscheles, Diesel M, Jake Slazenger and Rude Ass Tinker.



Mike Paradinas teamed up with Richard D. James (Aphex Twin) in 1996 to release Expert Knob Twiddlers (under the artist name "Mike and Rich"). The album is thematically full of odd game-related noises and playful melodies.
