Mick 'Porky' Pointer was co-founder and initial drummer in Marillion. He is featured on the group's debut EP 'Market Square Heroes' and on their debut album 'Script for a Jester's Tear'. After he decided to depart, Mick was replaced by Ian Mosley.
In 1994 Mick Pointer teamed up with Pendragon keyboardist Clive Nola and founded the band Arena.
In 2008 Mick Pointer gathered a band dubbed 'Mick Pointer's Marillion' to perform Marillion's debut album, 'Script for a Jester's Tear', for its 25th anniversary.
