Michael Pittman was born as Michael Jeffrey Pittman on September 18, 1962 in Colorado Springs, Colorado. He was longtime drummer in Colorado Springs-based melodic metal band Distant Warning, until he parted ways in September 2006.



Mike Pittman had previously played with Divine Ruins.



Mikey Pittman's personal statement:"As for my history, it goes like this. As a wee lad of 7, I heard "I Wanna Hold Your Hand" by the Beatles, abused Mom's pots and pans, cardboard boxes and various other things turned upside down, then didn't get serious (again) until I was 21. After some woodshedding, I had the privilege to play with many talented musicians over the years, who have helped to further my own skills. Music is my life, and although I listen to all genres, hard rock and metal is where my heart is."



Mike Pittman suddenly passed away on Monday August 27, 2007.
