Michael Laughlin played drums in extreme metal act Cattle Decapitation. He jopined the band in 2003, replacing David Astor. The band parted ways with previous drummer Astor in May of 2003 due to his inability to live up to the obligations of touring and regular necessities of the band.
Cattle Decapitation's 2004 album, "Humanure", marked the recording debut with the group of Laughlin.
Michael Laughlin stayed until September 2007, and was followed up by David McGraw (ex-Sleep Terror).
