Drummr Matt Tuttle is one of the founders of Codeseven, a band that comprised two of Matt's twin-brothers, James Tuttle on guitar and Jon Tuttle on bass, and is completed by Jeff Jenkins on vocals and Eric Weyer on guitar too.



The band started almost a decade ago when Matt was only thirteen. Back then, the group couldn't foresee anything but creating complex prog-metal and angry hardcore. After recording 1999's "Division of Labor" album the band had filtered through its heavy phase. Jon Tuttle explains:

"We had a lot of fun touring with heavier material, but we also realized that these are songs we probably wouldn't be into playing in ten years. When we began writing together again, we laid down several rules: no screaming, no metal, try to create interesting sounds, tones and spacier parts."
