Matt Goom grew up in North Walsham and has been playing the drums since he was a child. He drummed throughout his time at North Walsham High School teaching himself and working with private tutors.
Currently Matt Goom runs the Norwich Drum Academy (NDA), which also hosts former Adrian Erlansson (At The Gates, Cradle of Filth) as a teacher.
Matt Goom has also appeared on TV and Radio and has many tours and recording credits to his name. At his moment he plays in local rock band Fallen Ikarus.
Matt Goom joined former Deep Purple star Glenn Hughes on tour in 2007, replacing Red Hot Chili Peppers drummer Chad Smith, as he was unable to play all the dates due to a clash with his own band's commitments.
