Martin James O'Connor from Frenchpark, Co Roscommon in Ireland, was a married father-of-two and drummer in drummer in the band of well-known country and Irish music singer, Declan Nerney



On Saturday morning, February 7, 2015 Martin O'Connor was killed in a hit-and-run less than 24 hours after arriving in the US. He was 41. Martin was scheduled to play on a Holland America Line cruise that was to leave Sunday from Port Everglade, Florida.
