Markus is the drummer and percussion player of the Berlin-based band Ohrbooten and one of the most innovative young drummers in Germany. At the age of 7 he had classical piano lessons and received classical drum tuition from the age of twelve years on. Apart from that, he plays electric guitar as well as electric bass and is a trained keyboard teacher. He took part in the Popkurs at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater in Hamburg.



Multi-instrumentalist Markus has played Death Metal and Techno before coming to his current band, Ohrbooten. Among others, he has played for Ben and Jeanette Biedermann. He also works as a producer and studio drummer in his own Melmac-Studio in Berlin.
