Marius Karlsen is best known as drummer in Griffin. For the band's 2006 tour, Karlsen was temporarily replaced by Alessandro Elide of Manifest.



In July 2006 the group announced Karlsen's departure "due to obligations towards a new job as head chef in a steakhouse restaurant."



Karlsen had been drummer with the Norwegian metallers since 1998.
