Inside the factory of the best sold drumheads in the world
Artist biography Marion "Chick" Evans
Though Marion 'Chick' Evans has worked as a professional drummer, most people known his as the man who used a piece of polyester film (introduced under the name Mylar) to construct the first commercially viable synthetic, or "All-Weather," drumhead. That was in 1956 in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Evans drumheads have become world famous ever since.
