Marcus Mumford leads the exuberant bluegrass folk band Mumford and Sons on vocals and guitar, but you may have also seen him backing Laura Marling on drums.



Marcus Mumford began his musical career playing drums for Laura Marling on tour, along with the other current members of Mumford and Sons. It was through touring with Laura and playing important gigs of his early writing they decided to set up the band in 2007.



Marcus Mumford was born in Anaheim, California but his family moved back to their native England when Marcus was six months old.
