Marco Haas is better known as T. Raumschmiere. Haas actually started out in the punk scene around 1991 after a sporting accident left him bored at home with a broken leg and a new guitar. He moved on to drums before eventually giving up on instruments altogether - but not because he didn't like the style of music. Haas just didn't care much for other people.

"I was sick of doing these compromises with a five-piece band, always having discussions about sounds and arrangements. I just wanted to do something on my own. And in that time period the technical equipment was getting affordable so it was easy to just go and buy a sampler or a drum computer. So I just did that and started doing my music."

Hence he decided to start a solo project in 1997.



Despite his succes as danceact T. Raumschmiere, Haas nowadays plays drums again with a punk rock band called Mos Eisley Rock (also known as Crack Whore Society).
