Mark Droubay is best known as sticksman in Survivor and a Los Angeles act of seasoned players named Renegade.



Droubay started piano lessons at age 8, but took up drums at age 12 after seeing the Beatles on Ed Sullivan. Recalls the drummer:

"I would be coming home from school every day and lock myself in my room and play along with Beatle records. Later I got interested in Cream, Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple, Buddy Rich. Lots of influences actually, but my big heroes were the drummers in my favorite bands."

In March 2006 he teamed up with Southern California guitar legend/vocalist Greg Leon (ex-Dokken, Quiet Riot), stepping in for previous sticksman Greg Stevens.
