Multi-instrumentalist Les Pierce played drums for Herb Alpert, Take 6, Earth, Wind & Fire and Rahsaan Patterson to name but a few artists.
Les Pierce was born in Paris, France where he was raised on music and later moved to the Motor City-Detroit, Michigan. His father was a serviceman, professional pianist and encouraged Les to play piano at a young age. His mother was an inspiration and great support to him, as well as many other musicians.
Over time and with many hours of practice Les became an accomplished pianist and saxophonist. He earned scholarships to the Detroit Music Conservatory, Henry Ford Community College, as well as Michigan State University, which gave him a solid classical training.
To earn spending money, Les would meet and chauffeur touring artists for the local clubs in his fathers' van. Sometimes the artists would ask Les to come down to the clubs and play. Soon he found himself jamming on the stage with performers such as Esther Phillips,Roy Ayers, Donny Hathaway, Charles Erlin and Marlena Shaw.
Les' musical training culminated in coveted awards as Best Jazz Band Arrangement and Best Jazz Soloist in a West Coast college level competition at Berkley University. Soon after, he earned his chops by touring with a vocal jazz group. Les soon relocated to Los Angeles, where he began working as a studio musician, as well as producing tracks.

Les was nominated and won
Grammys in 1994, 1997 and received the Dove award for his work with the popular gospel vocal group, Take 6. These artists claim the Les' writing and production provides a vital infusion of energy and excitement to their music.
Les Pierce has most recently provided theme songs for several TV programs. His mastery for many diverse styles including rock, traditional jazz, orchestral epics, comedy and dramatic score, has allowed him to build an extensive library. Which is being used today for programs on HBO, CBS, NBC,
ABC, UPN, PBS, A&E. Les continuses to build and develop his artist roster with the next release due in late summer of 2004.
