Kristian Huotari joined Swedish metal-band Scaar in July 2005, after drummer Richard Holmgren had parted ways with the band.



Prior to joining Scaar Huotari had bashed the skins with Bastard, a band formed in Eskilstuna, Södermanland, Sweden in 1997. Founding member Jessicka Strandell (vocals and lead guitar) decided to form Bastard after the band she played in, "Play Dough" (Dolores), had broken up.
