Kris van Meel was the original drummer in Belgian prog-rock outfit 7th Circle. After a few years it seemed that the musical differences between drummer Kris van Meel and the rest of the band were an obstacle to their continuing development. As a result, Kris left the band.



For the recodings of 2001's "Collective Minds" Van Meel was temporarily replaced by session drummer Dirk Verbeuren. After the release Martial Bonnetain joined the band as a permanent member.
