Kane Ritchotte was born on October 11, 1991 in California, USA. He is an actor and composer, known for Nightmare Code (2014), Monk (2002), The Backup Dancer (2016) and Judging Amy.
He has worked with Portugal The Man (2012-2016), Miley Cyrus, Grouplove, Foxygen, Phoebe Bridgers, Blake Mills, his own band more* and many others. He also was the drummer for Disney's Devo tribute band, Devo 2.0, a band of 5 kids that do Devo covers.
His father is Rocket Richotte, a guitarist who has played with Cher, Rickie Lee Jones, Steppenwolf, David Lee Roth, Lou Gramm and others. Kane's mother Kristi Kane is a writer.
Kane was the drummer of the five-piece experimental North Hollywood rock band Vas Defrans consisting of Kane Ritchotte (drums), Brendan D'Amico (lead vocals), Dash LeFrancis (guitar), Cary Singer (guitar/keys), and Max Whipple (bass). They released their first CD, Cirque DeFrans, in September 2006.
In 2025 Kane appears on YouTube as drummer and host with Ryan Lerman and Jack Conte and Larry Goldings 'Scary Goldings' as support for their album 'The Holy Enchilada'. The same year, Kane appears on 'Something Beautiful,' the ninth studio album by American singer Miley Cyrus. Released on May 30, 2025, Kane is credited for track 11 and 12: "Every Girl You've Ever Loved" (featuring Naomi Campbell) and "Reborn".
