Originally from Kansas City, MO and a drummer since the age of two, Justin Sokol holds a bachelor of music degree in jazz performance and a master of arts in teaching music.



Justin Sokol currently resides in Philadelphia, where he is band director and director of technology at the Kensington Creative And Performing Arts High School.



He also teaches music technology and drumset at Philadelphia’s prestigious University Of The Arts and continues to perform professionally as both a drummer and leader.



Justin Sokol was recruited as E-Media/Music Editor for Modern Drummer in July 2008.
