João Rodrigues was born as João Miguel Pedrosa Rodrigues on November 27th, 1978.



Rodrigues started playing drums at sixteen with a punk band. He names Uli Kusch, Dan Zimmerman and Travis Barker as favouriete drummers.



Rodrigues played drums in the melodic / neo-classical metallers Oratory until June 2004. The band state on their web site:

"Due to personal reasons, unrelated to the other band members, the drummer João Rodrigues left Oratory. His replacement is Pedro Cabral, who by coincidence is a former Oratory member."
