Jazz drummer Johnny Stein was born as John Philip Hountha on June 15, 1891. He worked with with Eddie Edwards, Harry Ragas, Alcide "Yellow" Nunez, and Nick LaRocca among others.



Johnny Stein died 9-30-1962.
