Johnny Sandin (Stockholm, 1977) plays drums in Seventh Wonder. He names Ingo Swichtenberg, Jason Rullo, and Uli Kusch as musical influences.



Johnny Sandin's biography, in his own words:

At the age of six I started playing guitar after hearing my mother playing the song “Smile” for me. That was the start for me as a rock-star. I played the guitar for about 9 years but quit after noticing I wasn't developing anymore.



I started playing drums the year after. I was very much influenced by Ingo Swichtenberg in Helloween but couldn't find anyone that shared my enthusiasm for the time being, so I started playing in a Grunge/Rock band called Startbox. I played with them until I met Andreas Blomqvist that played bass and sang in another thrash/metal-band. He joined me and my friend Björn Grönkvist who had formed the band B.M.D (Blue Man Down). We played together for about a year, when I decided to join a Progressive/Metal-band called Euphoria.



After one year in Euphoria me and the vocalist Magnus Lindblom quit because the lack of interest in the band from the other members. Magnus called me up one day and wanted me to rendez-vous with him and a couple of guys (Jon Björk, Johan Liefvendahl), he wanted to start playing with. We formed the band Mankind.



After about 1 ½ years Magnus quit the band due to health-problems, which resulted in the end for Mankind.



Me, Andreas Blomqvist and Johan Liefvendahl kept on playing together but things didn't happen until Andreas (Kyrrt) Söderin joined the band. At the time we called ourselves Neverland, but we decided to change to our present name Seventh Wonder.



Tommy Karevik who joined the band in 2005 was the last person to make the puzzle complete.
