Johnny "Drum Machine" Jenkins is one of the upcoming UK new blood drummers. Having been drummer and Musical Director for Mike Skinner's The Streets and Lily Allen, Johnny Jenkins has built up a considerable reputation as the go-to guy for the big pop gigs. He's currently lending his talents and experience to rapping UK pop sensation Example (real name: Elliot Gleave).



Says Johnny: "I have drawn influence from many different players of many styles over the years but my favourite and biggest influences have been Dave Grohl and Dave Weckl. I love Grohl for his big, solid, rock sound and aggression behind the kit. I love the way he writes fills; simple and powerful. Weckl; for his sheer finesse behind the kit, his precision and the touch he has on the drums. I can’t think of anyone with a better dynamic flow."
