Johanne James plays drums in Threshold, regarded as possibly the best British progressive metal bands in existence, as well as one of the best progressive rock/metal bands in the world. James replaced previous drummer Mark Heaney after the 1998 release "Clone".
Originally the drummer for the London based band Scrap Iron Scientists, Johanne James first toured with Threshold across Europe in 1997 promoting "Extinct Instinct" in place of the band's studio drummer Mark Heaney. After Mark's departure following the recording of "Clone", Johanne officially joined Threshold in 1999 and recorded his first Threshold studio album "Hypothetical" in 2000. Johanne is also the drummer and vocalist of London based three-piece Kyrb Grinder.
