Joe Letz is known as drummer in Amen (where he replaced Luke Johnson), Theo and Downpore. Previously to joining Amen Letz had worked with Johnson as his drum technician during the Brides of Destruction tour. He recalls:

"when I was 10 years old and decided to play the drums, it wasn't because I wanted to be rich and famous, it was because it felt good. It was in my blood from the second I picked up those sticks."

In September 2005 Joe Letz joined the Genitorturers. He replaced previous skinsman Angel who had departed to join Ohio based Rikets.
