Joe Blanks comes from Satfford, UK. He received regular lessons from his drum teacher Jon Broberg as well as occasional lessons from top drummers whenever he can.
Joe Blanks has also attended (and taken part in) drum clinics, been an active member of several different groups and studied DVDs of the great drummers.
He plays drums with Blacktop Coalition.
In January 2006 Joe Blanks was one of the finalists of the Young Drummer of the Year (YDOTY).
