Jochem van Rooijen (Alkmaar, 1977) started drumming in 1989. He received lessons from Panc Daalder, Oscar Kraal, Cyril Directie, Ruben van Roon and Mark Eshuis.
Van Rooijen names Tony Williams, John Bonham, Jack Dejohnette, Stephen Perkins, Jon Theodore, Jim Keltner, John Sands, Ringo Starr, Charlie Watts, Stewart Copeland, Stevie Wonder, Dave Grohl, and Keith Moon as sources of musical inspiration.
Jochem van Rooijen is currently playing drums with Ultrawave, Keith Caputo, and MissAntarctica. He left A Day's Work in 2006 due to his commitments with Keith Caputo, and was followed up by Colin Vermeulen.
