Jochem Aarts (Tilburg, 1971) was 13 years old when he started playing at the local drumband. He got himself a little wooden log with a piece of rubber on it. Within a half year it was replaced by a real snaredrum. Jochem:

"Although it was fun, it still did not gave me enough satisfaction, so my dad bought me a whole drumkit."

Jochem Aarts has been playing in a lot of bands, most worth calling are: A Zillion Zulu Zippers (1989/1992), The Nozems (1993) and Winnies Sister (aka Rive) 1995/2000. Nowadays he is drummer in F33l3r (pronounced as Feeler) for which he also does all design.



Jochem received lessons from Bart Beevers, Han Vogel, Frans van Grinsven and Ruben van Roon. He names Mark Brzezicki, Jimmy Chamberlin, Dave Grohl, Simon Phillips, Nicko McBrain, Jeremy Bonarriba and Bram van den Berg as favourite drummers.
