Jazz drummer Jo Demuynck was one of the Belgian pioneers of "nouvelle vague", along with Robert Pernet, John Ward and Armand Van de Walle.
Jo Demuynck enjoyed a long carreer: je was part of Jean Omer's big band in Brussel in 1949. He also played in the BRT Big Band. He recorded most music between 1951 and 1971.
Jo Demuynck died on Sunday December 18, 2005 after a long sickbed.
