In September 2005 drummer Jim Horan, formerly of Dirty Brown Eye, joined forces with Ron Kachnic (guitar; Malignancy, Mortician), Desmond Tolhurst (guitar; Malignancy, Mortician, Head Trauma), Shane Tierney (vocals; Leviathan), and bassist Art Micewicz (Dirty Brown Eye) to form Primer Black.
Primer Black's debut performance took place on October 28 in Hartford, CT with the Misfits and Balzac. In 2006 Primer Black will be recording a full-length release to be released next spring, supported by a full U.S. and European tour.
