Jim van de Kerkhof is best known as drummer in A Brighter Day, Blind Trash, Uplifted, and Morton Black among others. He also joined Morning after Morning's regular sticksman Mauro Pi had departed. Initually as a session drummer for their live shows, in October 2007 the group announced Jim as their new band member.
Says Jim van de Kerkhof: "I started playing the snaredrum in a local marching band when I was ten years old. At the age of fourteen I bought a Tama drumkit and that's when drumming really became my passion. Ever since I've played the drums in local bands and all kinds of styles (from pop and rock to black metal to African percussion), which resulted in performing live on stages across the Netherlands and doing a bunch of studio recordings."
