Jimmy Miller occasionally played percussion and drums on Rolling Stones' records, for example on "Happy". Miller also plays the cowbell on Honky Tonk Women. Jim Miller on one hand, and Mick Jagger and Keith Richards on the other, no longer saw eye-to-eye during the making of "Goats Head Soup" (1972-73) and that's when their association ended.
Although Jimmy Miller continued to work with other groups after his separation from the Stones, he never regained the same success.
Jimmy Miller worked with acts that included Motorhead, the Plasmatics and Johnny Thunders. He died of liver failure.
