Playing professionally at the age of 15, Jim toured various clubs throughout Northern California. His career made a substantial advance when he was called by Christian to play in the band Room With A View featuring Tiran Porter of The Doobie Brothers. They recorded numerous studio tracks and performed with several mainstream acts including Dave Mason and The Doobie Brothers Reunion Tour.
His career with RCA recording artist, Sara Evans began in September of 2000. Tours have consisted of The George Strait Festival, the “Girls Night Out Tour” with Reba, Martina McBride, Jamie O’Neal, and Carolyn Dawn Johnson, as well as tours with Brad Paisley, Alan Jackson and Kenny Chesney.
Sara and her band have been featured on various national television spots including CMT’s All Access, The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, Good Morning America, CMT’s Crossroads with Maroon 5, and the Tony Danza Show. Sara is currently working on her 7th Album with RCA, and will have a single out in late spring.
During a hiatus from Sara who was out with a newborn, Jim had the opportunity to work again with Lee Beverly in Eddie Money’s band during 2003. Eddie headlined several concerts and toured all across the country.
Working with a few local upcoming artists in the Nashville area concurrently with Sara, Jim has been selected to play on an album for recently signed artist Phoenix Mendoza.
