Jim Austin played drums and sang in Canadian metal outfit Into Eternity for seven years. Austin and singer Chris Krall were forced to leave the band in July 2004 due to "financial reasons," according to a posting by Austin on the band's official message board. Jim Austin:

"We simply have no money and need to work. Into Eternity needs to tour and we cannot afford to go right now. I have had an excellent seven years with the band and wish them all the best and hope to see this band have huge success and the recognition it deserves."

Jim Austin was replaced by Madison, Wisconsin's Adam Sagan, previous from the band Halcyon.



In March 2006 Jim Austin returned to record the follow-up to Into Eternity's third album, "Buried in Oblivion".
