In 1986 Chris and Rich Robinson had a band called Mr. Crowes Garden. Over years they would gain world fame as the Black Crowes, but at this time they were mainly playing in garages and small clubs. Their drummer at that time was Jeff Sullivan.
Chris and Rich Robinson became unhappy with Jeff, and fired him because of a 'rocky relationship'. Without a drummer, the Robinson brothers asked Steve Gorman to sit in for the recording of their A & M Records demo.
