Jeff Gretz joined Zao in July 2005 after previous drummer Stephen Peck, who performed on the 2004 album "Funeral of God" had left the band.
After almost two years, Jeff Gretz announced his retirement from Zao, "brought about by sheer inactivity from their end".
In march 2007 he also joined From Autumn To Ashes as a touring drummer.
Currently Gretz plays with two-piece band Conelrad. Previously Gretz played in Crank Radio, also featuring Adam MacGregor - the other half of Conelrad. he also played with The OPD, Creta Bourzia, recorded a track with Zombi and is usually involved in the full band karaoke trainwreck known as The Pittsburgh Sound. Getz has also done plenty of wedding bands, jazz gigs, orchestral work, musical theatre, you name it.
