El Pres (born as Jasper Starkenburg)started making music in the early nineties when he played guitar in various local bands in his hometown Leeuwarden.



At the age of seventeen (in 1998), when he got his first personal computer, he started makin' beats. He's been doing this for eight years now and has worked with a lot of different hiphop artists like DJ Irie (4 times DMC champion Netherlands), Cee Major (the Proov), Black Bulls (Angola), Grootmeester Jan (DAC) and Enfant Terrible.



Currently El Pres is attending the Academy for Popculture in Leeuwarden where he's further crafting his production skills.
