Jason Hamacher plays drums in Frodus, and Regents. After Fordus broke up in 2000, he went touring with Good Clean Fun in Europe and Israel.
Besides Frodus Jason Hamacher is also known as drummer for a slew of other local hardcore bands from Washington DC, including Decahedron, Battery, and Regents.
In 2005, after the dissolution of Decahedron, Jason Hamacher's project with Frodus' Shelby Cinca and Fugazi's Joe Lally, Hamacher began thinking about a new musical endeavor with Discount's Bill Nesper and Lovitt Records' Nathan Tsoi.
More recently Jason Hamacher has become an unlikely historian of the Armenian community in Aleppo, Syria. And he's recently released a recording of their religious music — just as the city is crumbling during Syria's ongoing civil war.
Jason Hamacher's passion for the arts was recognized early when he began playing drums at the age of ten, performed his first concert at fourteen, and recorded his first album at seventeen. His interest in history and culture unfolded as a youth while touring Europe and Asia with his band. He continues to write, record and play music internationally.
