After Philadelphia metallers Single Bullet Theory released their album "Route 666" in 2002, original drummer Johnny Sasso was replaced by Jason Dunkerly.
With Dunkerly behind the kit Single Bullet Theory recorded their sophomore album "Behind Eyes of Hatred" but when Dunkerly was unable to commit to joining the group on a permanent basis at the time, the band hired Jay Horvath as session drummer.
In August 2005 Jason Dunkerly, former drummer of Single Bullet Theory, teamed up with SBT guitarist Matt Difabio and Pissing Razors frontman Andre Acosta in a brand-new band dubbed Preface. The initial line-up was completed by Bill Mez on bass.
