Janneke van Heeswijk teaches drums, plays Beatles covers in the Mal Evans Memorial Band, plays drums in Fem' Muze and T-Tauri, and has done a theater tour with Frank Groothof since December 2004.
Previously Janneke van Heeswijk played with Solar, Dekoor and XXL Funky Theatre. She graduated from the Conservatory Tilburg in 2003.
Biography:
Born in Tilburg on October 20, 1978 Janneke van Heeswijk started playing the recorder at the age of six, after that, other instruments became of interest; piano, guitar, singing.
When she turned nineteen, Janneke was finally allowed to play drums (at home), decided almost immediately to study drums, and she had a great time! After 4.5 years of a succesfull study at the Conservatorium of Music in Tilburg, and playing in numerous bands (including T-Tauri, Solar, Twink) in bars , theatres, festivals, pop-temples and working as a teacher, Janneke went to Australia to travel and study popmusic.
Back in Holland she toured for a year with Frank Groothof and performed in 60 theatres in Holland and Belgium. Now she plays in various acts and bands, Mal Evans Memorial Band (a Beatles tribute band), MACCA (an unplugged McCartney tribute), Rock a la Carte (coverband), de windh (choir) and Zwoelie Troelies (music and theatre act).
Janneke van Heeswijk is also working on songs for an album of her own. And now for something completely different, she’s also started a study Sociology.
