Ivano Zanotti Born in Bologna on 25 August 1980. Musical education: he studied with the great teacher Mauro Gherardi and studied percussions at the Conservatory G.B. Martini in Bologna.
Experiences in study, work and concerts
He began to professionally work at the age of 16 years in an European tour together with Miskatonic University from Ravenna. He continues forming a jazz-rock group the Politrittico with which engraves his first album and simultaneously participates at Sanremo Rock with The Rimini Nord group produced by Roberto Casini. He can boast of live collaborations with artists such as "Eugenio Finardi", "Gang" and many musicians such as Felice Del Gaudio, Manolo Badrena, Achille Succi, Domenico LoParco, Daniele Giardina and has been part of groups including Bolognese Spirogi Circus, Splatterpink, Gli Atroci, with this last ones he has worked in study for the incision of the albums.
He has experience with classical orchestras (Estense Orchestra and Youth Orchestra Ensemble Symphony) and contemporarily with masters such as A. Guarnieri, A. Impullitti.
He has recorded for emergent artists: Viceversa and Andrea Paglianti for which has been published on the daily paper "Corriere dello Sport Stadio", the single in tribute to Pantani. He has worked in studio with the M° Vince Tempera for a new singer, Sergio Rapagnano, for which the album has gone out in 2005. With "I Frontiera", a new emergent group produced by Roberto Casini, has opened two dates of the Tour of Vasco Rossi “Buoni o Cattivi" (Terni and Cagliari), all the dates of the new Tour 2007 always of Vasco, he has played at the Festival of the Cinema in Venice and currently the group collaborates with the guitarist Maurizio Solieri.
In 2008 it has been realised the new album for EMI and Bollicine with consequent Tour of Vasco Rossi 2008, opening all the dates in the biggest stadiums of Italy (San Siro, Olimpico, ..).
In February 2006 he released the album of his trio fusion "SIP TONIC" for Videoradio label in Milan. In March 2006, this group made a tour in New York where he played with the percussionist Manolo Badrena (Weather Report, Joe Zawinul, G. Vannelli, P. Daniele) and it has been recorded a DVD of the evening at the legendary School of Rock in Hackensack.
In May 2006 he started playing in the "Balkanica Tour” of the Hard-Rock group "Markonee " of Stefano Peresson turning Bosnia, Serbia, Croatia, to promote their last album. For emergent singers Stefano Lumine and Mary has engraved the last tracks which are inclusive in the soundtrack of Jerry Calà movie.
In July 2006, with Stefano Lumine has opened the concert of BB King and James Brown promoting the latest single.
In October 2006 he was engaged by Federico Poggipollini (Ligabue, Litfiba, Morandi) to promote his album with an intense tour.
In October 2007 he recorded all his last work, which has gone out in April 2009. The whole summer 2007 he played for the Tour "Figli delle Stelle" with Alan Sorrenti turning all Italy.
In February 2008 it has gone out the album of a new trio composed by Vincenzo Pastano (Carboni, Dalla), Giorgio Santisi (Pia , B. Cola), and Ivano Zanotti, and an illustrious Special Guest as Stef Burns (A. Cooper, Vasco, Lewis.). In July 2008 he was called to form the BlackSmokers duo, solo guitar/voice and drums with a very new sound blues/rock and he flew to the United States for an exciting tour of 25 days crossing the main cities of the Midwest.
Among the 18 concerts we want to underline the one at the House Of Blues of Chicago, the one at Deep Blues Festival in Minneapolis and the one at Hard Rock Cafe in Memphis.
In April 2009 he waits for the coming out of the new album recorded with Federico Poggipollini and consequent promotional tour in Italy. In March was released the first album recorded with Black Smokers "Used" produced and published by a Chicago label “Pravda Records” and he departed for a one-month tour in the U.S. for promoting the album. The tour started from the famous School of Rock in New York, then Asbury Park, Pittsburgh, Chicago, Appleton, Kansas City, Memphis, Nashville and many other cities.
On 24 of April 2008 has gone out the latest work of F. Poggipollini and now he is on tour with him. In September it will go out the new album of Germano Bonaveri, which will be produced by Maurizio Biancane in Fonoprint (Bologna), job of a very refined songwriter, he won the Tenco criticism award in 2007 with Beppe Quirici.

Educational experiences: he has been teaching for different years in different schools of music and privately. He taught in schools of music: Monterenzio, in Farini school Bologna, Guercino, in School of Music of the Band P. Bignardi, in the two centers of Loiano, Monzuno (BO), School of Music G. Savo Palazzuolo sul Senio (FI) and at the school of drums store "Drum 2000" in Bologna. He is currently teaching at Ultrasuono at S.lazzaro di Savena.
