Ian Wilson joined Scottish band Alestorm in 2007, after initial drummer Doug Swierczek departed from the band. Ian Wilson had previously drummed with Catharist.



Ian Wilson left Alestorm in June 2008 as he was unable to commit fully to touring. Ian was replaced by German skinsman Alex Tabisz, but returned during the same year.



In march 2010 Ian Wilson departed the group again.
