Ian Treacy was the original drummer in UK metallers Benediction. THe Birmingham based band was formed back in 1989, and is notable for once featuring vocalist Barney Greenway -- he sang for both Benediction and Napalm Death before touring commitments forced him to choose the latter band.
In 1993, Benediction released their third opus, "Transcend The Rubicon". The album's release was followed by the extensive "World Violation" tour with Cemetery and Atheist throughout Europe, USA, Canada and again Israel. After that tour, Ian Treacy left the band because of personal differences.
Treacy was replaced by Paul Brookes for their next album. After this release Neil Hutton took over the drum duties.
